Flash PLSChat firmware directly from your browser to your Heltec V4 or compatible ESP32 LoRa board.
Hold the BOOT button on your Heltec V4 while clicking Connect.
On the XIAO: hold BOOT (B), tap RESET (R), then release BOOT before clicking Connect.
Power on your PLSChat device and wait about 10 seconds for it to start broadcasting WiFi.
On your phone or laptop, connect to the WiFi network PLSChat-XXXX (the last 4 characters come from your device's MAC — readable on the Configure Device page). Default password is pls12345 — for security, change both the WiFi and Bluetooth passwords before using the device in the field.
Open a browser and go to http://192.168.4.1
Choose the device's web UI password when prompted — this is what you'll use to unlock the chat interface from now on.
Your phone or laptop may warn "No internet connection" while joined to this network — that's expected. The device works fully offline, so stay connected to it rather than switching back to your normal WiFi.
